Inspired by the unique beauty of the West, Melody of Our Landscape is created in collaboration with the Fort Collins Museum of Discovery’s Otterbox Digital Dome Theatre and features interviews with Jennifer Barfield of Colorado State University’s Department of Biomedical Sciences, and Ty Smith, the Director of CSU’s Native American Cultural Center.

“Panoramic photography and video of western landscapes, powerful storytelling, and western-themed chamber music will delight audiences in an immersive experience,” says director Briana Sprecher-Kinneer. Featuring the world premiere of “Soapstone Prairie Quintet” written for woodwind quintet by local composer Eric Scott Alexander, this Classical Revolution Northern Colorado concert series celebrates one of the most exciting local events of the year – the release of genetically-pure bison to Soapstone Prairie.

Additional collaborators include photographer Paul Chubbuck of The Soaring Shutter and Herb Saperstone of Poudre School District. Musicians are ‘Cille Lutsch, flute; Liz Telling, oboe; Copper Ferreira, clarinet; Susan McCollum, bassoon; and Jennifer Swanson, horn.
